Hi

I am trying the Amazon Advertising feature for the first time.
I use the recommended product link, choose category and keyword
but the adds displayed are not at all related to my keyword?

Hi Salesguru,

With the recommended product link we use a API (chunk of code) that Amazon makes available.
This means that we are at the mercy of Amazon when it comes to what adverts they show.

I suspect That Amazon is looking at the Keyword selected, but also having a look at other indicators like the keywords on the web page, and your sales history with Amazon (if you have one).
Basically they will be showing what they thing the website visitor is most likely to purchase.

Significance is determined by the page title. It's the same deal with Ad-sense, too. Try it - you'll see. Keywords are important for backlink anchor text, but not much else.
