Hi everyone. Is it possible to insert `Title` tags into the Menu so it`s included in the html when published? Thanks, Bri

Hi Bri,

The <Title> tags have to be in the <Header> section of the web page.
This is why you can add Title content on the Web Page > Page Settings section.

I suspect that what you want is to add the content of the Title tag as the menu text for navigation.
If this is the case, then yes you can do this with Tokens.
You can enter this in to the Menu Text box:
{%Title%}

If the published result looks familiar, it is because XSitePro presumes that you want the Title to me the menu text, and this is what you get by default! :)

Bri, do you mean you want a title attribute added to the anchor tag for menu links? Like this:
Code:
<a href="index.html" title="Puppy Training">Home</a>
We don't have control of that in XSitePro's default menus. You can add the title attribute to manually added links, of course (the ones you place within your content).

For SEO purposes, Google doesn't appear to place any weight on title attributes in links: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/how- ... ctly/7687/ (this was written in 2008, so things may have changed a little since then, but the continued low usage of title attributes in links would make it unlikely that Google cares about this). This page confirms that Google still ignores the title attribute in links: http://www.seo-gold.com/seo-tutorial/an ... timization.

Hi Andrea. My apologies for not getting back to you, much, much sooner! :) That particualr site got put on the backburner, but I`m now back working on it again. It`s for a surfing site, say for example with a menu tab saying `Surf Reports`. Now for a particualr location these days there may be many reports, and people dont like being faced with say 6, all saying `Polzeath`There isnt really room in the sub-menus to add the additional info that I`d like, so people can see where the link will take them before clicking on it. You remembe the little Title boxes that would appear if you hovered over a link for a second? It`s that sort of thing I`m looking for. Is that still possible? I`m not so much worried about the google ranking element, (although that would obviously be nice) as user friendliness. Does this make sense?
Ben suggested this {%Title%} but when I add that to my menu text I get nothing. Any suggestions? Thankyou, Bri
