XSitePro Website Design Software Message Board

Hi there, I am trying to completely remove my site http://menswristwatchesonline.com from XSitePro and don't want it to show any more on the INternet. I went inside XSitePro and deleted the site, but it still shows up when you Google it. When I go into Filezilla, it still shows all the files there. What do i have to do to delete EVERYTHING?

Hi Petra,

Please remember when you create a website, you create the pages in XSitePro, and then send a copy to the internet, and then Google and all come around eventually and indexes the web pages.

To remove the web pages you need to do the opposite:
1: Delete the web from XSitePro if you wish (this will not affect the internet)
2: Use a FTP program, or the web servers CPanel program to remove the web pages from the web server.
3: Wait for Google to realize that the pages have gone. (This can take up to 6 months).

Option 2: is to replace the web pages with other web pages with the same file names.
This will keep the inbound page links and any Google PR you have accumulated.

Option 3: is to redirect the web pages to a different site, or different web pages.
This will move the Page Rank you have gained, and any passing web visitors to a different web site.
Redirection like this is usually a web server admin issue, so you will need to contact your web host provider for help on this.
