XSitePro Website Design Software Message Board

Someone gave me a video which was created in Windows Movie Maker. It was a slideshow with audio/music in the background. The video is in .wmv format and plays fine with the audio outside of XSitePro. I was able to load a similar video on the website last year around the same time with no problem, however that video was created using Photoshop Elements/Premier and the format was also a .wmv file.

When I load last year's video I am now experiencing the same result, no audio. I suspect there may be an issue with my version of XSitePro 2.5.3.0, but I cannot say for sure.

The video pulls in just fine, however the audio is missing. I have downloaded the codec code pack to no avail.

Are there any other suggestions of why the audio is not pulling in?

There are three possibilities here:

The first is that you may not have the latest codecs (encoders/decoders) on your system, the other possibility is that there is fault in the file.

If this is not the solution, there may be a problem with the file, please use a converter to convert the file in to a different format.
Most converters will fix known errors as they do the conversion

Otherwise There may be one or more XSitePro application file that has become scrambled.
Please do a backup, un-install XSitePro and re-install from here:
