I just logged into the back end of the xsitepro test server and I don't see a davefraser folder there. Also, I deleted my two folders and published using andreawilson again, but now my site won't show up at all. Also I can no longer access the dave site!

Have you ever published ANY site to the xsitepro test server any time in the past?

Maybe you should just use a test directory on your own server.

Domain Name: www.yourdomain.com
Home Directory: [MUST LEAVE BLANK]

FTP Server: ftp.yourdomain.com
FTP Directory: /public_html/test [XSitePro will create this directory automatically for you on most hosting accounts, such as HostGator]

FTP User Name: [Your User Name]
FTP Password: [Your Password]

Andrea do you mean an account on XSite. I have an account and web site that I use as a test site (davefraser.net) for another church with Hosttway, but I haven't tried to publish CHBC site to it. Is that what you mean?

I mean publish to a sub-directory on your own server (hosting account), such as davefraser.net/chbc.

No I haven't published to any directory or to my server at davefraser.net. I'll give it a try using my server (Hostway)

Andrea I just used the test directory on my server and it showed the test page for the other church web site. If it would help I'll email you the entries for that site.

You published one Web site and it showed a different Web site in the browser? I'd say where you're publishing to and where you viewing must be two different places then.

I just checked http://www.davefraser.net/test/index.html and there's NO church page at that location, nor at this location http://www.davefraser.net/chbc/index.html. What did you call the test directory? I also checked http://www.davefraser.net/test/index.htm and http://www.davefraser.net/chbc/index.htm (.HTM instead of .HTML).

Forgive me I'm a little lost here. I followed your suggestion to use a test directory on my own server. davefraser.net is the site I use to test sites. The only site I have on it is clcnj.com. I have not published the site that is on xsite. Here is how I entered the fields:

Domain Name: http://www.davefraser.net
Home Directory: Left Blank

FTP Server:ftp.davefraser.net
FTP Directory:/public_html/test

FTP User Name: davefraser
FTP Password:*********

I wonder if it's where I have my xsite folder located on my C:drive attached is a jpg of that location if that helps any. Sorry for all tha ags I'm causing

I don't think the forum allows attachments, Dave.

I followed the exact same instructions and am getting the same 403 error.

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

I tried a couple of different user names. Seems like a server problem with the test server.

Finally have it working. But if you go to www.davefraser.net and go to Ministries and click on couples or womens you get a blank header, all the other pages show up (Teens, Couples, Children). I believe that I've done everything correctly. Could you take a look and see if I'm missing something or doing something wrong.

That image is not on the server, Dave. Check the spelling, capitalization, etc. of the file name.

It's possible that you can only create one account on the xsitepro test server. If you created an account previously (even if it was under a different name or for a different site), it still recognizes your IP address and limits you to one account.
