Please help: I switched to W& 64 bit computer and now I cannot get XSP to bring up any of my backups. I have been unsuccessfully trying using all versions of the data folders.

If there are any users in central Florida, or if you can help me remotely, I would very much appreciate it. In return, I can assist you with any writing needs that you may have (I am a retired professional journalist).

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.

I followed the following instructions but it did not help me.

Once you have XSitePro up and running, we need to get the data back. :)
I hope that you have some data saved from the work you have done in XSitePro.
Each 14 days (by default) XSitePro will remind you to do a backup.
I hope that you said yes to some of these prompts and that the data that these backups created are still available & usable.
The work you create in XSitePro is stored as several file in the XSitePro Database directory (usually My Documents/XSitePro-Data/Database).
The XSitePro automatic backup just does a straight file copy of this Database folder in to a folder with the backups time and date.
The backup folders are usually kept in 'My Documents/XSitePro-Data/Backups' .
Each backup will be in a separate sub-folder.
This means that the XSitePro backups are not just one file, but a collection of files.
When you do a manual restore you need to copy all of these files in to the new Database folder, or the backup will not work. :)

To manually restore XSitePro by copying the files from the backup folder to the main folder.

To do this:
1. Exit from XSitePro.
2. Go to the XSitePro Data Directory this is usually 'My Documents\XSitePro-Data'
3. In this folder you will find the 'Database' folder. Please rename this folder for safe keeping.
4. Create a new 'Database' folder.
5. Enter the 'Backups' folder.
6. You will see a selection of folders, one for each backup you have done.
7. Enter one of the backup folders.
8. Select all the files in this folder.
9. Move (faster) or copy (safer) these files to the 'Database' folder you created.

Restart XSitePro and test.

Hi Dcanaan,

I see that you have a ticket open for this already.
If there are no takers I will continue to help you through the ticket system. :)

If you still have XSite Pro and the database on your old computer, export each website to create a .xse file (be sure to name them so that you easily identify each website).

Use Import on your new computer to import each .xse file.

This is more work but it's worth a shot.
