The # in a link is to allow you to link straight to a anchor point on the web page.
To link to a specific point on another page, create a anchor point and then use the # symbol to link to it.

The canonical link statement in the header should sort this out for Google.
The good news is that XSitePro adds this statement in automatically form v2.540 onwards.
I am hoping an auto-update of v2.550 will be out by the time you read this, so I will not add a link to the latest version.
