Hello Forum:

I did get the HEADER made... and a good job done... however it was
created for me in Photo Shop (not XHeader).

I still seek to learn how to create this particular header in XHEADER if
possible.

Thanks much in advance!

Alan

Alan,

I am glad I was able to help you out.

To create the image in XHeader you will have to have at least 2 separate graphics:
(1) the cloud background
(2) the ReMax baloon
(3) graphical text if you want to use it. this part is not necessary, but helpful.

Then simply layer the 3 layers in XHeader.

For the text layer you can either use the graphical text OR you can use the text typing tool that comes in XHeader.

I had to create the graphic in photoshop because XHeader is not designed to manipulate the graphics in the same manner as photoshop. XHeader is a great tool to design quick header graphics with existing images, but it is not intended to replace an art program like photoshop where you can recreate brushes and blend various images.

I highly recommend XHeader because of the fantastic stock art resource that it represents. Also, using XHeader as a starting point for your header graphics is a fantastic idea. I generally use a combination of XHeader and Photoshop to create my header images now.

In a day or two I'll upload a copy of the header graphic to this thread.

You are exactly correct... you really need both Photoshop (or Gimp), and XHeader. XHeader is great for the stock headers, but then you usually need to add something to it. I'm also doing the same thing, grabbing a good 'starting point' image from XHeader, and then adding more stock, or royalty free photos to the header to match the client's needs. It works perfectly ;)

Here's a copy of the header image I did up for Alan.

He had an existing header graphic that I could work with, but I had to basically deconstruct the entire image and rebuild it from scratch. The final file had to be a jpg. I added the white stripe at the top to add an Out of Bounds effect for the ReMax balloon.

PS
