Why do my anchors disappear when I make a change (especially using backspace) to a page? I am not making the change to the spot where I have placed an anchor, the change is made to either the same line or somewhere else on the page. This has been happening to me and I've been "putting up with it" by re-inserting the anchor. However, just a little bit ago I was working on page that had 7 anchors and I made a change to page and all 7 anchors disappeared. This is getting annoying...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Linda

Hi Linda,

Thanks for identifying a bug.

I am making a video and submitting to support for a fix.

Jason

Great.... yet another problem that hasn't been fixed.... and now 2 years later I have to waist hours on this very same problem.

I am trying to create a Glossary with an A B C D E F G.... index at the top that links to all the letters of the alphabet used for indexing the text. I have placed anchors in front of all those letters throughout the text and every time I try to correct something on that page all the anchors disappear! And I can't use the undo function (which btw. doesn't work most of the time and sometime it just erase my work several steps back!). Then I do the whole thing again just to see the same thing happen again and again! I spend hours on this problem so why hasn't it been fixed yet?? Can someone help me please?

All these little bugs are driving me mad! Why report them if nothing happens?

I also want to do a glossary with "Anchor" links and when I started to do it, I experienced weird behaviour from Xsitepro - with chunks of text near the anchor links disappearing etc.

Is this a known bug, and is it to be fixed soon, or should I just give up on using anchor links in Xsitepro for the moment?

The only bug I know of is that if you hit delete somewhere around the anchor, it will get deleted. I just submitted a ticket.

Has anybody tried putting anchors in a 1 cell table ?
I have not really fooled with them except for the lessons.
The 1 cell table cured my images from jumping to the left in preview like Jason suggested awhile back.

Hi all,

amherst: I use this mess that XSitePro created when I made my glossary - it works, but I am sure there is a more intelligent way to do it... how bad is all this repeating code for SEO?

Suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Code:
<p align="center"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">&nbsp;</span><strong><a href="#A"><strong><span style=
    "FONT-SIZE: 10pt">A</span></strong></a><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">&nbsp;</span> <a href=
          "#B"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">B</span></a><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">&nbsp;</span> <a href=
          "#C"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">C</span></a><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">&nbsp;</span> <a href=
          "#D"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">D</span></a><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">&nbsp;</span> <a href=
          "#E"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">E</span></a><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">&nbsp;</span> <a href=
          "#F"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">F</span></a><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">&nbsp;</span> <a href=
          "#G"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">G</span></a><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">&nbsp;</span>
etc....

Code:
<p><strong><span style="FONT-SIZE: 16pt">A<a name="A"></a></span></strong></p>
etc....

Try updating to this update -

http://licensing.intellimon.com/xsitepr ... ate542.exe

It seems to have fixed the anchor disappearing issues.
