There may be an explanation somewhere here, but I haven't been able to find it. I have custom channels for Adsense. I have tried adding the Adsense channel code to the "manage channels" dialog box where indicated. The Adsense locator box shows up on the page layout, but I have no Adsense ads on my website. I know I must be doing something wrong. Could somebody please help.

Thanks.

Candee

Hi All,

I have tested this and is seems to be working, so some further details would be useful if you are still having problems.

There are a couple of observations that I offer for Adsense ads not showing.

First: If you have just signed up for Adsense, then it can be a few days before Google authorize the account to show adverts.
This is not an instant on service.

Second: Google will only allow 3 Adsence adverts to be shown on a page.
If you try to add more, only the first 3 in the html source code will be shown.
And remember that XSitePro usually has the code for the Left Panel appear after the Right Panel code for SEO reasons. :)

I still must be doing something wrong. Maybe it is the code I'm pasting. When I use the regular AdSense insert, the ads show up just fine. But when I paste the channel code in, nothing. I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what. Are there instructions somewhere. The channel code looks like this:

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "My Adsense Code";
/* Ways To Save Middle Short */
google_ad_slot = "5621483062";
google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 15;
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

I am pasting the code exactly as shown into the channel code box, but it doesn't appear on my site. THE Adsense placeholders show up on the page view, however. I have had my Adsense account for many years, and it normally only takes a few minutes for the ads to populate.

Doing everything in XSitePro and choosing the same adsenseblock as you did here is my code after I published. And everything shows up fine.

Code:
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-2463252347742597";
google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 15;
google_ad_format = "468x15_0ads_al_s";
google_ad_channel ="8223478444";
google_color_border = "336699";
google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
google_color_link = "0000FF";
google_color_url = "008000";
google_color_text = "000000";
google_ui_features = "rc:0";
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>

If you would like me to take a look at your setup, please email me and I can remote access your PC and see whats up.

Jason
