Hi all
I run a website for a Fishing Club.
Is it possible to add a downloadable file to my site, so that prospective new members can download a "Fishing Club Joining Form" Which can be printed, filled in, and sent off by post :?:
Many Thanks
Steve

This is quite easy to setup in XSite Pro.

Create a PDF of the form.

1_ Use Other --> Resource Manager to upload the PDF file for the form (I usually have a folder for PDFs)

2_Put the text for the the link on the page where you want the download link for the form(PDF).

3_Highlight the text for the link description, let's say it's "Fishing Club Joining Form" and right-click

4_Select Insert Link --> Other Files --> PDFs -->join-fishing-club.pdf

The link will look like:
Download: Fishing Club Joining Form
(double-click to open and print or right-click and select: Save link as or Save target as depending on your browser)

Hi Copywolf
I have followed your instuctions, and have put my PDF into a file called PDF's as you suggest. However when I get to stage 4, Select Link-Other Files-The only option I get here is Images and my PDF does not appear in the Image list that is presented :?
Am I doing something wrong??
Thanks
Steve

With your website loaded in XSite Pro, look in Other --> Resource Manager. You will see a list of the files, with the folder that they are in the right column. If you don't see your PDF, it is not in the website files.

Note that on the bottom of the Resource Manager window is a button for Folder Name Settings. This is where you can name custom folders to contain special files scripts, etc. I usually create a folder for PDFs named pdfs. When you import the PDF make sure it is saved to your "pdfs" folder.
