Well I am not sure "joy" is the right word, more like daily challenges working on the web.
The joy comes when I deliver and my customers love their websites. That is the fun part!
:D

I know what you mean! Just got myself a new mac and am having problems transferring my virtual PC with the website onto it. I'll have another go today, have to make it work so I can get back to the website. At least it's a lot easier with xsitepro than other programs. The wonders f technology never cease to amaze me, should we still be having problems in this century?

Thanks Jim! yes, not bad for someone who never built a website before! Yours looks great too! Thanks God for these people! I hate technology and they've made it all so much easier and fun to work with. Would still be at it with many other programs!

Hi Mira:

My first site also. I have run the gamut of problems to solve including having to move the whole business from one hosting account to another.

The good folk on this board have been a treasure of helpful advice on understanding and working with the program.

Here is a little system I use.

I visit the board often and look for solutions to problems. If someone has run into it, then why not me next?

A lot of solutions are quite creative and would be lost to me in very short order, so I created a "swipe file" and save them for future reference.

I simply copy and paste them into a text file database in a small word processing program - each new one is tagged on to the file and it grows. One day I will sort and index it - but - for now I collect these goodies. It is far easier than searching through thousands of posts to find something I know I have seen.

A non-techie approach to storing techie advice, but it works for me.

Keep up the good work.

JIm, I know EXACTLY what you are talking about! I've spent thousands of dollars having other people build my previous websites and struggling to do for me what I wanted them to do as they had their own ideas! Needless to say, I didn't get anywhere until I found this program! Did it all myself this time so if I don't like something, I simply change it!

I particularly like the whole setup. Having a corporate background, it was pretty easy for me to figure out how to put it all together as it is modelled on MSOffice features, familiar to most. I only contacted tech support with a few problems.

FYI, you could use the SNIPPETS feature to gather all your bits and pieces. That's what I'll do shortly, now that my new laptop is working and I can get back to the website!

Here's to everyone's success!
