XSitePro Website Design Software Message Board

Hi all!

Any suggestions on a good membership software that can be intergrated into XSitePro 2? I am looking to turn my
XSitePro 2 website into a membership site but unable to find a suitable software. The membership software that I have found is ones that you have to build you website around the software. I want something that will allow me a little more flexability than just a name and email address. I want something that will allow me to manage my membership pages with an independant software. Or is Aweber good enough?

Any suggestions?

I've setup many clients on membership software integrated to their XSitePro software. It really depends with the type of content you are protecting, and how you want to work with the Admin (Backend) side of things as to which software is best. Sure, and aMember Pro requires more configuration and is not as flexible as Easy Member Pro, for one thing aMember does not include a native Affiliate Program, for another aMember requires much more work to get it configured - yes I've tried it as well. Setting up coupons in aMember can be harder, selling one-off products requires huge overhead, etc, etc.... No point in overworking yourself trying to configure things that are all native and easily configured in Easy Member Pro!

Do you have a site you've setup/configured in aMember?

I have set up several sites with aMember Pro. It works well and the support is good. The authors are also willing to do custom mods for a reasonable fee. You are right in that configuration can be a bit of a chore. I did not find setting up coupons to be that hard and the users seem to be able to learn without much trouble. I would not recommend using aMember for selling a "one-off" product unless it is a big ticket item. Security with aMember is bulletproof.

I have not tried Easy Member Pro, but I just looked at their web site and may give it a try the next time I need a (non-WP) membership site.

BTW, if you need a membership package for a WordPress site, check out Wishlist Member and Magic Members. Both work well, with Wishlist Member being a bit more comprehensive and Magic Members being easier to install and configure. Both install as WP plugins. Both cost $97 for a single domain license. An unlimited developer license is $297.

I use Vibralogix SiteLok software (http://www.vibralogix.com). You can not add the Vibralogix script directly to your website because your website won't publish (very annoying because xsitepro claims it accepts third party scripts). I found this out the hard way. Instead I use a file manager and add the membership code every time I publish my website. The best thing about about this software is that you only pay a one time $40 fee and no additional fees for technical support. The Vibralogix support agent literally installed and configured the software for me for no extra cost. If you do use this software, make sure to mention that you are using Xsitepro and that you will need a file manager to install your membership code
