Hi all, good evening..

I am currently designing my first ever site for a client but im kind of stuck know and not sure the best way to go. The client wants to be able to edit the information on some of his pages so he can keep them updated. I know this is possible to be done in control panel on the server ok if you know what your doing. Is there much work involved where the client is able to login on an admin page on there own site and just be able to change the text then save it down ? If so any idea how much? and where i can get this done please ?

Thnaks for your time.

Editing web pages from the editor in cPanel is not a good idea. It is better to download the HTML file for the page in question, make a backup, edit the page with a good editor and then upload the edited page. Even using this procedure, your client would need to know their way around an HTML page or they could wreck the page. Notepad++ is a good programming editor to use for this. It's free, it's powerful and it allows the page to be saved locally and previewed in various browsers.

If your client doesn't know HTML, they would be better off with a CMS such as WordPress.
